This policy explains what furscopes.com collects and what happens to it. We have tried to describe what the site actually does, rather than what a template would say.
The most important thing: the details you type into the quiz — your pet's name, species and birthday, and your own birthday — are sent to generate your reading. If you take the free quiz, none of it is stored: it is processed in the request and discarded. There is no user account, no pet database, and no profile kept about you.
If you buy the full reading, we keep the finished reading for a year so your link to it keeps working — you paid for it, and closing a tab should not lose it. That copy holds your pet's name, species and birthday and the words we wrote. It does not hold your own birthday, your email address, or anything about your payment.

We do not ask for your name, address, or phone number. We never see or store your payment card details.
3. Who we share it with
- Groq — our language-model provider. It receives your pet's name, species, star signs and quiz-derived traits in order to write the reading. It does not receive your email address.
- Our payment provider — a third-party Merchant of Record for purchases, named on your receipt. It collects the payment and billing details it needs, under its own privacy policy.
- Google Analytics 4 — usage measurement.
- Cloudflare — hosting and delivery. It processes IP addresses as part of serving and protecting the site.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or ad targeting.
4. Cookies
The site uses Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to measure usage. We also store your light/dark theme choice in your browser's local storage — that never leaves your device.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt-out add-on; the site works normally either way.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to its processing.
In practice we hold two things: your waitlist email address, if you gave one, and — if you bought a reading — the reading itself. To have either deleted, email support@furscopes.com; for a reading, send us its link. We will remove it — no verification hoops. Deleting a reading is permanent and its link stops working, so save your PDF first.
For payment and billing data, the payment provider is the controller; requests about that data should go to the provider named on your receipt, and we will help you reach them.
6. International transfers
We and our service providers operate globally, so your data may be processed outside your country. We only use providers that offer appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
7. Children
Furscopes is not directed at children. Please don't use it if you are under 16, and don't enter a child's personal information into it.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because we don't keep quiz inputs and don't hold accounts or card data, there is very little about you for us to lose. No system is perfectly secure, but we have kept the amount of data we hold deliberately small.
9. Changes
We'll update this page when the site changes, and the date at the top will tell you when. If a change materially affects you, we'll make it obvious.
